Race Description

Wanstead Flats 5K

Monday 5 April 2010 (Easter Monday) sees the first organised community 5K event on Wanstead Flats Playing Fields. The route will comprise a grass surface, across a green Open Space on Wanstead Flats in Epping Forest, passing lakes, trees, model aircraft landing zones and natural habitat areas.

Adults over 16 will complete the full 5K (£10 entry) and under 16s will be offered the shorter 3K route (£3). Entry fees can be paid online, in advance and entitles each runner to a t-shirt, participation medal and race insurance. The route will begin and end at Aldersbrook Road, where there will be fun activities available for all involved.

Runners are encouraged to raise sponsorship and activate a just-giving page to raise funds for Community Links, a local Newham based Charity that provides valuable services and projects for all ages and communities within Newham. www.communitylinks.org
