ARCHIVED RACE: Urbanathlon @ Manchester on 31 July 2011

Manchester – Sunday 31st July 2011 @ SportCity – 5km

You’ll run, crawl, climb, slide, laugh, scramble and dangle through a challenging, totally original urban-obstacle course around East Manchester… Start on the 2002 Commonwealth Games track, stagger up the `Stairway to Heaven` at the MCFC stadium, take on the fireman’s water slide, pick your way through the spiders web, scramble up the giant haystack, attack the rock climbing wall, vault over derelict cars and much, much more!!

All welcome; weekend warriors, fun runners, uniformed services, charity runners.
Each competitor receives a limited edition t-shirt and finishers medal

Start times from noon in waves every 10mins, no queuing at obstacles!

The course will have 15 exciting & challenging obstacles, will be a shorter distance of 5k and will have excellent course signs, loads of keen volunteer marshals, there is free on site car parking, excellent on site changing & toilets, and a fantastic goody bag for all finishers!

INDIVIDUAL AND TEAM OPTIONS
Runners can register as an individual or as a team which requires three people, each completing the course. Teams can be single sex or mixed.

Team Information:
A team consists of three (3) individuals. You may enter as an all male team, an all female team, or a mixed sex team, all runners must be of 14yrs on 31st July 2011. Each team member runs the complete race, you can run as a team together to tackle the obstacles or separately. Once the last team member crosses the finish line, the final team time is calculated by combining all three times. There are a number of team entry sections with fantastic prizes.
