Race Description
The 2013 UnitedHealthcare Marathon will be held on Sunday October 13 in Newport, Rhode Island. Race weekend features the UnitedHealthcare Marathon and UnitedHealthcare Newport Half Marathon on Sunday and the Amica 5k on Saturday, October 12.
The UnitedHealthcare Marathon & Half Marathon will start at 8:00 AM on Sunday at Easton’s Beach. The Amica 5k will start at 7:30 AM on Saturday at Brenton Point.
The USATF certified races take advantage of Newport and Middletown’s rich history and beautiful oceanside scenery, providing some of the most breathtaking runs in the country. The UnitedHealthcare Half Marathon has been voted the best half marathon in the Northeast by Competitor magazine in 2011!
The UnitedHealthcare Marathon serves as a Boston Marathon qualifier.
