The nature of Adventure Racing is that anyone of any age and fitness can take part, from the very beginner to the ultra racer. You plan and run your own race, although there are prizes for the ones who collect the most points in each category.
You plan your own strategy and route, deciding how many CPs you want to visit and in what order. You will lose 1 point for each 30s you are late coming back. All checkpoints are worth 10 points each. Distance covered depends on how many checkpoints are visited. Distance covered can be anything from 20km to around 40+km, and depends entirely on your level of fitness, as well as your MTB and map reading skills.
Registration opens at 8.30am to give competitors time to collect their maps and to plan their strategy and routes.
