ARCHIVED RACE: The Zombie Mud Run @ Shocktoberfest, Sinking Spring, PA, United States on 22 September 2012

The Zombie Mud Run a.k.a Zombie Mudder is a post-apocalyptic 5K obstacle Mud Run teeming with Zombies infected with the living dead virus. Whether you are an avid mudder or you have never participated in a mud run, the Zombie Mud Run promises to be the most amazing, heart-pounding, adrenaline-producing Mud Run ever created! But you must choose – participate as a Human or a Zombie. Gates open at 7 a.m.; Zombie Mud Runs start every 30 minutes from 9 a.m. through 5 p.m. Humans run the race wearing a flag football belt with three flags, which represent the vital organs; Brains, Heart and Entrails. Zombies try to capture the Humans’ organs, or flags. Humans will also face obstacles including walls to climb, muddy hills to slide down, and tubes to crawl through. Humans who finish the race with at least one organ survive and help save the Human race. Prizes awarded after the 9 and 9:30 a.m. races. In between races, Humans and Zombies can enjoy the Green Zone Midway, which includes music, Zombie Paint Ball and other games, vendors, food and beverages, including beer.
