Race Description

The stuff legends are made of… The culmination of 21 years of living, playing, and working in the Rocky Mountains. The Divide 200 is Canada’s first 200 mile race.

The route includes the Castle/Crowsnest/Flathead region of the southern Rockies. The race will celebrates our Rocky Mountain heritage, and highlights portions of the stunning Great Divide Trail. Our vision for The Divide 200 is to keep you up high and enjoying the varied landscape of the Continental Divide. Explore the Southern Canadian Rockies. The course is a combination of single track, double track, a small amount of road, cross country, and even a bit of bushwhacking and scrambling. The race is about alpine travel, ridge walks, and getting you into remote back country. This event is for people with a great deal of both race experience and alpine experience. There will be some sections of route finding even though it is a prescribed course; the terrain can just be really gnarly out there.

The race is open to solo competitors only and is capped at 100 entrants. Competitors will have 100 hours to finish the 200 miles which consists of 14 legs ranging in distance from 12.5km to 40km . Pacers are allowed on certain legs. You’ll get to enjoy views and terrain in both Alberta and British Columbia.
