Race Description

Vashon Island offers runners and walkers exquisite scenery. The race course follows paved country roads with some challenging hills along what our locals call “The Dilworth Loop”.

Some people run hoping to beat their personal best time or their best friend. Others walk and talk , sometimes stopping for tea along the way. The 10K and 5K runs are certified and sanctioned by USATF . Chip timing is conducted by Budu Racing.

The Bill Burby 10K Run and 5K Walk/Run is held during the annual Strawberry Festival. After the race, participants can witness the quirky parade, swing to live music, eat festival food or check out carnival rides. Bring the whole family and make a day of it.

The race starts promptly at 9:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 16th, at the corner of Vashon Island Highway SW and SW Gorsuch Road, Vashon Island, Washington.
