Race Description

The perfect half marathon in rural Suffolk countryside, is open to all entrants aged 17 years or older on race day with a course suitable for racing wheelchairs. The route takes in some of Suffolk’s quietest rural country roads through undulating scenic countryside.
Chip Timed and held under UKA rules the race is hosted by Stowmarket Striders Running Club and held in memory of Joe Cox – our first road race of the year is kindly sponsored by local business Tomlinson Groundcare.
All runners completing the 13.1 miles receive a momento.
Prizes will be awarded to:
1st, 2nd & 3rd Male and Female winners
Male Vet 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70+
Female Vet 35, 40, 45, 50 , 55, 60, 65+
Junior Race – 10:15am
We also hold Junior Races from 1 to 3 kilometres, dependant on age. For the youngest ones this is on a traffic free course within the grounds of the venue. Entries for the junior fun run will be taken on the day only.
Early entry recommended as last years sold out before the day.
