Race Description

The Plunge 5K is an opportunity for walkers and runners to enjoy the Minnesota winter weather. Participants have the option to run or walk the 5K, take the Plunge, or do both. The Plunge 5K will begin at 9 a.m. Participants, who are brave enough to Plunge, will jump into the frigid waters at 10:30 a.m. at Thomas Beach, Lake Calhoun in Minneapolis.

The registration fee for the 5K is $30. Participants who would like to take a dip into the frigid waters after the 5K must raise an additional $75. As a reminder, those who wish to “dash and splash” need to register for the Plunge 5K and the Minneapolis Plunge. These are two separate events with two separate registrations. No funds raised through the 5K may be applied to Plunge fundraising goals.
