Race Description

Help save your favorite endurance running species on World Painted Dog Day—join us for the 3rd Annual Painted Dog 5k/10k! Run or walk your miles on your own, when, and where you want, and get your medal, shirt, and goodies in the mail!

With less than 6,600 dogs left, the African Painted Dog is more at risk of extinction than the big cats of Africa. Their 80% hunting success rate helps regulate prey species which in turn plays a role in molding vegetation communities. Securing their future plays an essential part in stemming the loss of biodiversity and maintaining a healthy ecosystem.
