We’d like to invite you, your family, your friends, your firm, and your organization to join us for our annual community event, Orange County Bar Association, Inc.’s (OCBA) Law Day 5K run/walk. The Law Day 5K Run/Walk is an event that supports free civil legal aid programs and attracts runners and walkers from the Orange County and Central Florida legal community.
On March 02, 2024, the Orange County Bar Association (OCBA) will host the 10th Annual OCBA Law Day 5K Run & Walk with the scenic race course running around beautiful Lake Baldwin Park. All proceeds raised benefit the Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar Association, Inc. and the Orange County Bar Association Foundation, Inc.
The Orange County Bar Association Foundation focuses on community education. From the consequences of one’s actions, to how the judicial system works, to supporting the local schools, to mentoring, the Foundation helps citizens gain a better understanding of the judicial system.
The primary purpose of the Legal Aid Society is to provide quality legal services for the low-income residents, the working poor, children, and disadvantaged groups with special legal needs in Orange County, Florida, and to assist in providing legal aid services to similarly situated residents of neighboring counties through an effective and fiscally sound program through the combined efforts of staff and pro bono attorneys.
What is Law Day? It’s the American Bar Association’s event held every year to celebrate the role of law in our society and to cultivate a deeper understanding of the legal profession. Learn more here.
