The Ashland Sporting Association, Inc. (ASA) and the Massachusetts Veterinary
Medical Association Charities, Inc. (MVMACI) seek your sponsorship support for our
Saturday, June 4, 2016 “Metrowest K9 5K, Staying Healthy Together,” which
includes a 5K run for individuals and a 5K run/walk with your dog through the woods
at the Metrowest YMCA’s outdoor facility in Ashland/Hopkinton, MA.
This year we are excited to announce the collaboration between the ASA and the
MVMACI, both charitable organizations. Proceeds from the event will be donated to
the MVMA Charities, Inc. to sustain and develop programs that serve all communities
in Massachusetts.
The MVMA Charities, Inc. is the charitable arm of the Massachusetts Veterinary
Medical Association (MVMA), the professional association for all veterinarians in
Massachusetts. It works closely with Animal Control Officers across the state
providing funds for the emergency care of abandoned and stray dogs and cats. The
MVMACI also supports emergency and disaster preparedness programs by providing
funding as well as education and training.
This new and exciting event will include a Health and Fitness Fair to encourage
people and their dogs to stay healthy together. Festivities will be family and pet
friendly and will draw from the Metrowest, Greater Boston, and Western
Massachusetts communities.
