Race Description

After the success of last year’s run, we’re doing it all again!

Our aim is to raise a whopping £10,000 for the Anthony Nolan Trust. The run is on Sunday the 5th June 2011 in Abbey Park. For all you running fanatics there’s a 10K course and for those of you who fancy a more relaxed time there is a 5K course.
Race entry fee is £8 and each runner will recieve a t-shirt, certificate and Goodie bag! Registration on the day will open at 10:15 AM, and the run will start at 11:00 AM. There are prizes for fastest runners and a special prize for fancy dress. This years theme is superhero so get creative!

The Anthony Nolan Trust is the charity that maintains the national bone marrow register, providing donors for people with diseases such as leukaemia where the only hope of survival is a bone marrow transplant from a donor. We receive no government funding. It can cost the Trust up to £50 to recruit each potential bone marrow donor to the register, tissue-type each sample, and maintain the donor’s records. They therefore continually rely on financial support from individuals and companies to continue their life saving work.
