Race Description
The Malta Marathon is the most popular Mediterranean Island marathon with up to 400 participants.
The event is held in late February when the average temperature is 17C at a time when many European countries are covered in snow, a phenomenon not known to Malta.
Malta with it’s vast history makes the Malta marathon ideal to mix participating in the Malta marathon with a relaxing and culture filled holiday.
Besides the Malta Marathon there is a concurrent Malta Half Marathon with over 1,600 participants which takes place on the same day. On the day 1,000 foreigners join the more than 1,000 Maltese participants in either the marathon or Half Marathon.
