The 22nd annual Komen Atlanta Race for the Cure 5K run/walk and 1 mile walk raises money to save lives and end breast cancer forever. This year, an expected 18,000 Atlantans will help raise $1.7 million. Seventy-five percent of all funds raised is awarded to Atlanta-area breast health screening and education programs. Twenty-five percent is given to the national Komen Research Grant Program to find a cure.
