ARCHIVED RACE: The Hemel 10k 2015 @ Astley Cooper School, Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, United Kingdom on 12 July 2015

With the support of Maylands Business Park and Dacorum Borough Council, Rennie Grove Hospice Care has launched a brand new fundraising event for 2015 – the Hemel 10k and superhero fun run!

The event will take place on Sunday 12 July, starting and finishing at Astley Cooper School in Hemel Hempstead.

The 10k will begin at 10.30am and offers a challenging multi-terrain course, both on and off road, through the surrounding countryside. It is open to anyone aged 14+ (14-16 year olds must have consent from a parent or guardian) and costs £20 to enter, which includes chip timing, a technical t-shirt, a medal, and water at stations along the route.

The superhero fun run is a 1.5k route and is open to all ages (a parent or guardian must be present on site). We encourage participants to dress up as their favourite superhero, and there will be a prize for the best outfit! It costs £5 to enter (under 5s go free) and all participants will be given a medal as they are cheered to the finish line.

Family and friends are more than welcome to come along on the day, and in addition to the fun run there will be children’s activities as well as the fun run to keep little ones occupied.

We ask all participants, children and adults, to raise as much money as they can. It is your sponsorship money, not your entry fee, that makes a difference to local patients and families and every penny you raise is vital to help support the services we provide for the increasing number of people needing our care across Herts and Bucks.
