Race Facilities

  • Has Toilets? Toilet facilities will be available but we encourage all competitors to make use of any alternative toilet facilities en route to the event.
  • Has Changing Facilities? No
  • Has Water Stations? One drinks‘ station will be at about the halfway point and another at the finish. However, please bring your own water to drink before and after the event start. All competitors will also receive a complimentary FOR GOODNESS SHAKES sports nutrition refuelling drink.
  • Has Prizes / Awards? The first 5 men & first 5 women across the line will be awarded prizes on the day at the venue.

Race Description

Part of the PUMA Hellrunner series:

The PUMA HellRunner™ is over multi-terrain and varying underfoot conditions. There will be everything from running tracks and trails to water-filled areas and plenty of steep hills. Expect to get very wet! It will be nature at its toughest. The course will be marked but do not expect to see mile or kilometre markers….that’s for those softy road running types. All you need to know is that the course will be probably more than 10 and less than 12 miles in length. Hey! With what we have in store, who’s counting?

IT IS NOT NECESSARY THAT YOU HAVE TO BE ABLE TO SWIM BUT PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT THE COURSE MAY WELL BE UNEVEN, SLIPPERY, STONY AND WET…

The PUMA HELLRUNNER™ – We’re talking REAL TRAIL RUNNING!

Open to all ages, there will be Fun Runs for both the morning and afternoon events commencing approximately 15 minutes after the main HellRunner events. Entries on the day will be accepted at a cost of £7.00. No timing chip will be issued for this but please ensure your allocated race number is worn. Fun Run numbers will not be mailed out but made available for collection from Race Registration on the morning of the run. The Fun Run will be approximately 1.5miles in length.

    Did the Hell up North event today and having done it 4 years ago was very disappointed in its length. It was less than 9 miles (despite the race promo saying between 10 and 12) as I posted a time far too good to be any more than that and so I don’t feel that I can compare it to the previous event and I also feel like it was all too easy compared to before. I think they have diluted it down and would not enter again.
