Race Description
This race began 24 years ago as a small gathering to grow excitement for open space. It’s now a major recreation event for people (and dogs!) of all ages.
Our iconic event has something for everyone. Persevere through the ups-and-downs of a challenging 30K, explore Mount Ascension City Park in the 12K, enjoy a fun loop in the 5K, or sniff the wild roses in the non-competitive 5K Dog Walk. No matter what event you undertake, you’ll join a community celebration of open space, wildlands, and trail running. Cross the finish line at Pioneer Park and join a heartwarming party with food, live music, and family-friendly fun.
Funds raised by Don’t Fence Me In support the South Hills trail system and Prickly Pear Land Trust. Bonus: Kids 12 and under register for free!
