This 26.2 mile race is 90% off road, much of it following the line of the Clarendon Way from Salisbury to Winchester. The race starts at Wyvern School in Laverstoke on the East side of Salisbury. From there the route goes through the Clarendon Estate across to Pitton and Winterslow and on to Broughton. At Broughton the runners are also joined by the Half Marathon participants. From here the trail goes on to Kings Somborne and then up to Farley Mount, through the woods and eventually reaches the end at Kings School Winchester. Runners have a choice of 3 ways to enter. There is the full marathon, the half marathon and the relay. The relay is for teams of 4, generally mixed sex but all male teams and all female teams are also acceptable.
