Runners will have the chance to enjoy mid-year holiday cheer and a Christmas themed atmosphere at the Christmas in July 6-hour, 12-hour, and 24-hour races. Runners will run the one-mile flat, crushed limestone path as many times as they can within the allotted time limit. The trail will meander around a lake and pass by the start and finish area every mile with no chance of getting lost. When it gets dark, the event will light up, both on and off the trail. We truly hope to bring you a unique ultra event that will be an experience of a lifetime. While we think this will be a fun event, we also expect it to be a competitive one. The course is a one-mile loop around the lake at the Old School Forest Preserve. The Old School Forest Preserve is part of the Lake County Forest Preserve District and is located off St. Mary’s Rd, south of Route 176 and north of Route 60 (Townline Rd.)
