ARCHIVED RACE: Bradford on Avon Sprint Triathlon @ Barton Farm Country Park, Bradford on Avon, Wiltshire, United Kingdom on 19 May 2013

The Bradford on Avon Sprint Triathlon is back for its fifth year in 2013 and once again includes the open water swim.

The event is set in the beautiful, historic town in Wiltshire and the 750m river swim takes place in the River Avon. The 20k bike is a technical and scenic hilly route around the surrounding villages and the 5k run a fast, ‘out and back’ run along the canal tow path.

The race will run alongside the Standard Distance Triathlon on the same day.

The sprint triathlon includes:

• Chip timing including all splits and bike laps.
• Medal and goody bag for all finishers.
• Free event camping (see below).
• On-site catering with healthier hot food and drinks from the Runcible Spoon.
• On site sports massage.
• Specialist running and wetsuit shop and bike maintenance stand.
• Race photography from Sportysnaps.com.
• Medal now with optional iTaB (see below).

iTaB
In 2013 for just £5 you can have your medal personalised with your name, position and finish time and if you’re keen, your splits too. Your details and results will be engraved on a small plate which fits neatly into the back of your medal. See here for an example.

There is free event camping with toilets available for competitors. You must pre-book as numbers are limited, by emailing via Contact Us. The field is on the intersection of Bath Road and Leigh Road West (on the right hand side approaching from the Bath direction) at adrress:

Wave starts 7:30 and 7:45.

Barton Farm Country Park is well sign posted and is located off the B3109 on the edge of the historic town of Bradford on Avon. Ample parking is available at the nearby railway station (postcode BA15 1DF).
