The WildMan is the third stop for the ASICS Off Road Race Series and certainly is not for the faint hearted.
The course is set in an epic tree lined forest, but don’t be fooled, the trails and tracks are made up of sand and this will hinder even the hardiest of athletes.
You can choose either the 10 or 15k trail Run depending on how much stamina and dedication you have in the tank! The run, although easier than the MudMan, will encompass steep inclines along “a ridge too far”, and will be a series of laps depending on your chosen distance.
The Duathlon will kick off with a 10k run in soft sand, and encompass 5 tough gruelling hills and descending onto wet and boggy trails. The 18k bike course is quite varied technically with a number of slow hilly sections mixed in with fast, stony tracks. Following on from this your legs have to finish a 5k run – your legs will be pushed to the limits…
The WildMan is overall more challenging than other races in this ASICS Off Road Race Series, due to the hills and sandy conditions. It is a sapping, gruelling race and classified as hard core and not for the faint hearted!
