Race Description

Our event will be the first event to receive approval to utilize the Trail! The Cape Fear River Trail offers a safe, contained run course, along with picturesque nature sights!

The North Carolina Halloween Half Marathon and 5K features 13.1 and 3.1 miles of costume fun! This event is more about fun than anything else! We decided to put a unique spin on the traditional half marathon or 5K event by celebrating Halloween and encouraging everyone to run or walk in costume! After the success we have had in other locations over the past few years, we decided to branch out and add a new location for this themed event. The North Carolina area quickly emerged as the ideal location. While it’s not mandatory to run in costume, it definitely makes it more fun! This event is open to all abilities of runner and walker, both adults and children!
