The Man Versus Horse Marathon has been taking place since 1980 when a group of men in a local pub were arguing over whether people or ponies were fastest on the hills. After 25 years, a man finally beat a horse by running the mountainous course in 02:05.00.

A 10.3 mile multi-terrain race, through woodland, canal towpaths, trails and cobbled streets with the occasional hill here and there. This unique course incorporates some of the most scenic views within the heart of Yorkshire and a refreshing river crossing to finish!
The aaa-adventure challenge is set to return in 2010, the event will be harder, longer and tougher…! Don’t miss what promises to be the event of the year…….!
