Race Description

UNESCO’s newest World Heritage Site marathon.

A 26.2 mile circuit of Windermere taking in Hawkshead, Newby Bridge and Bowness-on-Windermere along the way.

Voted the ‘most scenic’ by readers of ‘Runner’s World’. Finish the breathtakingly beautiful and challenging course amidst a carnival atmosphere, in the grounds of Brathay Hall.

The marathon has outstanding local support with over half the course being run on traffic-free roads or roads with a dedicated running lane.

To top it all, you get to see the inspirational runners completing the final marathon of their Brathay 10in10 – 10 marathons in 10 days.
