Race Description

The Amazing Maasai Ultra is Kenya’s first and only ultra marathon. The event consists of 75km, 42km & 21km races, all of which take local & international participants through Maasai community lands and villages in Laikipia North, the high-altitude foothills of Mt. Kenya.

For international participants, there is a six-night travel program (September 23-29th), offering a game drive, tour of a traditional Maasai village, classic African sundowners, and more. It is a totally unique chance to explore Kenya – far off the usual tourist paths.

The Amazing Maasai Ultra is held annually as a fundraiser to support Maasai girls through high-school in the locale of the race, and 100% of all proceeds go towards these scholarships through the affiliated US-registered non-profit, the Amazing Maasai Girls Project.
