The Providence Marathon is returning on May 2, 2021, for another fun day of running through the heart of beautiful Providence, Rhode Island! We can’t wait to welcome you back to spring running, where you’ll take in the sights of turn-of-the-century buildings in DownCity, scenic views along the Providence River, and the historic surrounding neighborhoods that give Providence its unique charm.

The marathon, half marathon, and 5k all start and finish downtown near the Rhode Island State House where you’ll celebrate with an after-party featuring delicious craft beer, free food, great tunes, and some incredible race swag!

During these uncertain times, we want you to know that we have your best interests in mind. While we’re optimistic that we’ll be able to host a safe in-person race, if the event is cancelled, you’ll be notified via email and will be able to choose between a refund, a deferral to the 2022 event, or an entry into the Providence Marathon Virtual Run.
