Race Description

The WOLF (Woods, Obstacles, Lakes and Fields) Run is an innovative off-road 10K run near Leamington Spa in Warwickshire that provides a unique mix of running trails through woodland, open ground and water, alongside a series of challenging natural and man-made obstacles to test strength, ingenuity and determination.

Designed specifically to highlight the invigorating discipline of Wild Running – re-creating the addictive experience of running in natural, raw terrain – the WOLF Run will take place through some of the most stunning countryside in the Midlands. The WOLF Run aims to get runners away from their everyday runs on pavements and treadmills and into interesting, varied terrain that will guarantee an exciting, wild running experience! Runners will find themselves climbing huge fallen trees, wading through waist high water, pulling each other up near-vertical mud slopes and crawling under dense vegetation.

The WOLF Run is open to all runners, from beginners to experienced off-roaders. In addition, the course has been devised to encourage participants to help each other over, under and through each obstacle, so that they participate with a true sense of camaraderie rather than an emphasis on competition (although we welcome the competitive lone Wolf Runners too!).

The design of the course has also been overseen and tested by a fitness professional with a Masters in Sports Science and years of experience in functional fitness training. This is to ensure that the entire body is challenged by the course, giving an excellent all-body workout.

The day will finish with an afternoon post-run party, open to WOLF Runners and spectators, with music, good local food (including a hog roast and the all important cake stall!) and a bar.

  • Hi Millbert – we are looking at lowering the age for the Wolf Run and are taking advice from our insurer about what they consider acceptable. We’d love to let everyone run but unfortunately our hands are tied at the moment due to the extreme nature of the obstacles and so it’s over 18’s only. I’ll definitely let you know if we hear that we are allowed to lower the age… ๐Ÿ™‚
