Race Description

Moscow Marathon Luzhniki was founded more than 30 years ago, a year before the 1980 Summer Olympic Games in Moscow. The flat two looped course of the marathon, laid by the course of the Moscow Olympic marathon in 1980 and upcoming World Championship marathon in 2013 is the best sightseeing tour for runners presenting Moscow’s major historic attractions.
Best marathon race results in Russia were shown at the course of Moscow Marathon Luzhniki. Current course records belong to Dereje Nedi (2:10.32 – 1984) and Lyudmila Petrova (2:30.54 – 1998).

Moscow Marathon Luzhniki is called ‘the fastest’ run in Russia.
It offers a number of distances for runners of different levels and ages: marathon, 10K, 5K and Kids run.
