Race Description

The 50K race is ideal for runners new to ultra running, 50K is the first recognised ultra distance, its 5 miles longer than a marathon.
The route is 5 miles (8 Kilometers) long and you will complete it 6.2 times. It starts around a mile before the start point of the other races but at the same time. When you pass the race village support area for the first time you will have six laps left to run.
You can stop and rest if you wish, the race is chip timed so you should always enter and exit at the appropriate point on the route. There is a support tent next to the route that you can leave food and drink in if you wish (there is a water supply). There will be a support station at roughtly half way stocked with water and nutritional products.

The 50 mile race is ideal for regular ultra runners looking for a challenge or those training for longer distance races. You benefit from the support and option to rest that point to point races do not provide but you can get the distance in to qualify for other ultra races such as T184.
