Race Description

This is the 39th annual running of the full marathon. The half marathon was added to this event in the mid 1980′s. Sunday, February 3rd. Come run in Florida’s capital city on the first Sunday of February! Our fast, flat, shaded and certified courses offer great opportunities for your best possible race of either distance. Get your Boston Qualifier and/or PR. Cash awards in full marathon for top 5 OA males & females (1200, 800, 400, 200, 100), and for top 3 Master’s (40+) males & females (500, 250, 100), no double dipping. Bonus of 500 for breaking OA course record to top finisher, bonus of 250 for breaking Master’s course record to top master’s finisher. Beautiful handcrafted age group awards 3 deep in each 5 yr age group in full & half by artist Brian Bachman. Expo at DoubleTree Hotel in downtown Tallahassee on Saturday, February 2, featured speakers & films. DoubleTree offers pasta bar in their restuarant. Tech shirts, finishers medals with the groundhog on them. Proceeds benefit the American Lung Association of Florida and area running events. Top notch aid stations and volunteer support.
