ARCHIVED RACE: Southport Colour Blast @ Princes Park, Southport, Merseyside, United Kingdom on 09 July 2017

Sunday 9th July will see the picturesque and normally relaxed Princes Park & Promenade, in Southport, once again receive a vibrant wake-up call in the form of the Galloway’s Colour Blast! While participants are running, walking, skipping, hopping or dancing the 5k route, an army of volunteers will be taking aim and throwing powder paint at hundreds of runners, making the kilometres fly by! Last year we saw 400 runners take part in our first ever Colour Blast and this year we are looking to make it bigger and better!

Registration is £20 for adults, £10 for children (16 and under) and families (2 adults & 2 children) £50. Earlybird offers are available. Your registration fee includes a white t-shirt and a pack of powder paint for the colour explosion at the start of the race. Along with joining a community of like-minded people looking to raise their fitness you’ll be raising much needed funds to support the work of Galloway’s.

Galloway’s are a local charity, enabling blind and partially sighted people to gain greater independence and minimise the effects of living with reduced vision. We operate across Sefton and Lancashire, with centres in Southport, Preston, Morecambe and Chorley. Galloway’s offer a range of services to support visually impaired people at any point during their sight loss journey. In addition to this we work with our local community to promote better eye health and prevent avoidable sight loss, whilst supporting local organisations by providing visual awareness training to create a better world for people living with sight loss.
It costs £1 million to deliver these services each year and without the support of the local community Galloway’s would be unable to offer support to over 7,000 people in Sefton and Lancashire facing the challenges of everyday with sight loss.

Registration will open at 9am on the day and the race will start at 11am.
