Race Description

One day, three events…There is a distance to suit all at our very own Monster Run Fest!! You have the choice of a Half Marathon, Marathon or Ultra. What more could you ask for?!

The Marathon will start at 09:00 outside the awesome Ely Cathedral you will pass through the City of Ely and onto the river bank of the River Great Ouse. You’ll follow this path to Wicken Fen, the first ever National Trust site, the halfway and turnaround point, you will then follow the same route back to the ‘Ship of the Fens’.

Perfect for all runners; it’s flat, the route is well marked and there is support on course. With a few obstacles (steps, stiles, cattle grids) along the way, this is more of an adventure / fun (yes you read right) course than one to chase a PB on. This event is ideal for those looking to have a go at a marathon – especially after a summer of racing shorter distances. There is no time pressure or worry about coming last as those crazy ultra runners will still be out on course.
