Race Description
The MHFS 10k for Men is a men only event, taking in two of Glasgow’s beautiful parks, Bellahouston and Pollok.
The event is open to all men, aged 15 and over and is a great event for first timers and serious runners alike – the course record is 32:02 but we also have guys who take closer to two hours! It’s a fun event with a great atmosphere and for 2010, we’re hoping to attract around 5000 men!
There’s water and sports drinks available at the event, great Goody Bags and lots of fun and healthy things to do for everyone in the Race Village, so why not come along and be a part of improving men’s health in Scotland!

I enjoyed the 10km run I always start last dressed in my clown outfit and I have ran it I think every year it has been on. great race well organised and covered by first aid and marshalls, I raised over £200 at the race and my total for charity up to now is over £126.000.00 which I have raised myself running all my races every where. keep up the good work, as I knmow it takes a lot of your time. see you next year and well done. your running marathonman tommy.
this is my 3rd time running for http://www.guidedogs.org.uk at
mhfm 10k for men. this is the best 10k i have ran.
enter if your are thinking of it you wont be disapointed
Thanks for that Paul – hope you get a good time (and raise plenty of money for the good cause too!).
This will be my 2nd 10k,first one I done in just under 2hours,was a mixture of running, jogging and walking,it of advice don’t go to fast at the start take it easy and you will get there.
I am 45 and going to give this a go along with my son, never done one before, looking forward to making it over the finish line.
with so much on the news all the time about us in scotland being unhealthy, its good to see a few men over the age of 25 getting (back) into running! Good effort.
Only advice is take the first one easy, then you have a nice marker to aim for with your next.
Also, a good PB over 10KM in Scotland is the inverness marathon 10K race as it features a lot of downhill – it is at the end of the summer (October from memory – will check!!) too, so you can work up to it.
Leave a comment when you have done this race with how you get on.
