Further to the overwhelming success of the inaugural Kelston 10k, Aspire Running Events are very pleased to announce a summer Kelston 10k event. Once again taking in the truly stunning and scenic Cotswold Way.
Event fee: £15 Unaffiliated/ £13 Affiliated
This event will be held on Sunday7th August, 2016. The race will commence at 9am with Registration opening at 8am for you to collect your race numbers.
We will be holding Registration within the garden area/or inside (weather dependent) the Swan Inn at Swineford. Postcode: BS30 6LN
The challenging multi terrain route will see you transverse through extensive woodland, scenic trails, permissive footpaths and open fields. There are plenty of hills to keep even the strongest of you runners on your toes throughout.
The route will be fully marked out with eco – friendly washable paint arrows, orange marker flags and multi directional run route signs where required.
All finishers will receive a medal.
There will be 10k trophies for the following categories:
Overall male 1st, 2nd and 3rd
Overall female 1st, 2nd and 3rd
1st Senior male and female
1st male and female V40
1st male and female V50
1st male and female V60+
1st male and female U20
First Aid will be in attendance and will be placed at suitable positions throughout the route.
The whole route will be marshalled by our amazing friends at North Bristol Running Group.
There will be a suitably placed half way point water/feed station.
The finishers table will be laden with our usual treats and fruit.
There will be free parking on the day.
For the duration of these events we are thrilled to have secured the fantastic facilities of the superb Bath Ales – The Swan at Swineford. The Swan is a superb family friendly Country Pub, with an excellent choice of liquid refreshments and an amazing food menu.
The start/finish line will be at the Picnic area, adjacent to the car park.
