Race Description

May 7th and 8th 2016

Programme for the Harmony Geneva Marathon for Unicef 2016:

Saturday 7th May:
• Junior Races (from 1 to 5km, aged 6 to 15)
• La Genevoise (5km women’s race for those aged 14 or over)
• 10km race (aged 16 or over)
• Walking & Nordic Walking (10km, aged 16 or over)

Sunday 8th May:
• Half Marathon (21.095 km)
• Marathon (42.195km)
• Relay Marathon (from 4 to 6 people over 14)
• Handbike and Wheelchair race

 

Runners of all ages and abilities can be part of this festival of running. On Sunday May 8th, the Marathon, Marathon Relay and Half-Marathon will be held. Runners will stream through the countryside, following a route renowned for its beauty, nestled between the shore of lake Geneva and snow capped crests of the Alps and Jura mountains. The closing stretch takes participants through the heart of Geneva before crossing the finish line on the Pont du Mont-Blanc, with a stunning view on the famous Jet d’Eau in the distance.
