Race Description

The Big Sur Half Marathon on Monterey Bay features a scenic, rolling, fast certified course beginning and ending near downtown Monterey, Calif., and an out-and-back section next to the breathtaking Pacific Ocean on Cannery Row, past the Monterey Bay Aquarium, and in beautiful Pacific Grove. The race fills each year at 9,000 participants and features a purse of $20,000 in prize money and bonuses, an efficient wave start, a fun post-race village, and bands and entertainment throughout the course. A two-day race expo features more than 60 vendors. The By the Bay Kids’ 3K and Pacific Grove Lighthouse 5K are Saturday, Nov. 7, the day before the half marathon. Come join us!
