We launched this new running site Race-Calendar.com at the beginning of September 2009, and already it has proved really popular with race organisers as a way to promote their events to a wider audience.

Race-Calendar.com was set up to provide UK wide race listings which provide simple links to everything you need to enter a race, preview it, find how to get to the start line, review it and discover the online results (such as there are) in one place.

Our idea is to allow people to discover new races across Britain (and the rest of the world – for those frequent flyers!) and also to provide them with a means of finding the results and online entry quickly and easily – we freely link to other sites in order to provide the best race listing for users.

We also want to support the hundreds of small running clubs who organise fantastic events up and down Britain and across the rest of the world by finding them new participants who might not otherwise have discovered club-organised events, by providing them with a nationally recognised, simple to use, registration-free promotional website.

Lastly, for those of you who love running, we want to make it as easy as possible to plan your next race, to rate the races you have just run, and to leave your comments on any you are thinking about entering.

We don’t want anyone to have to register to use anything on Race-Calendar.com.

We don’t want you scratching your head as to how to find the next race.

We just want to provide as comprehensive a free service to runners and race organisers as possible, without harvesting email addresses, or forcing anyone through needless stages.
