About The Website
Race-Calendar.com was launched at the beginning of September 2009.
Race-Calendar.com contains race listings which provide simple links to everything you need to enter a race and get the results and reviews afterwards. We freely link to other sites in order to provide the best resource for users.
We want to support the hundreds of small running clubs who organise fantastic events all over the world by finding them new participants who might not otherwise have discovered club races.
We provide a comprehensive free service to runners and race organisers alike, without forcing anyone to login.
If you have any questions or comments regarding the Race-Calendar.com website, we would love to hear them. Please feel free to contact us using our online form.
About The Team
The team behind Race-Calendar.com are passionate about using the power of the internet to unite runners with events throughout the world. Find out a bit more about the people who make this happen:
Steve Haywood is a qualified personal trainer with a Premier Diploma in fitness instruction, sports nutrition, sports massage and first aid.
Steve is also an experienced and knowledgeable runner. He has competed in cross-country, track and road races since age 11, covering distances from 800m to marathon with Wakefield Harriers, Leeds City and Otley Athletic Club (England Athletics no: 2800309).

Linda Scott keeps running wherever she goes. She has run with the Kirribilli Runners in Sydney, Australia, the Joseph Pearce Jogging Group in Leith, Scotland, and most recently trained with the Swaledale Road Runners in Yorkshire, England.
Her favourite training route is round Arthur’s Seat in Edinburgh and her favourite running moment was watching Haile Gebrselassie make a world record attempt at Crystal Palace.
Linda helped to form the company which founded Race-Calendar.com after leaving Newcastle University, and has been working with websites & online brands ever since. Linda is responsible for content on Race-Calendar.com – making sure that as many races as possible are listed and that results are up as soon as they go out.
Jono Farrington is a qualified oenologist (winemaker) and has completed vintages in both Bordeaux and South Australia. He is also a keen equestrian and has trained with showjumping world champion Jos Lansink and international rider, Dominey Alexander.
Jono trains world class showjumpers (both horses and riders) from his equestrian training centre in South Australia and knows what it takes to reach the highest levels of competition in sport.
Jono has been working with the parent company of Race-Calendar.com since 2007 and is responsible for Race-Calendar.com’s social media channels, bringing fans the latest news, updates and offers from the running community.
Robin Scott studied law at Newcastle where he won the Newcastle University Enterprise Challenge 2006 Award overall prize for Business Viability in addition to their award for Achievement in E-Commerce. He set up the 24 Hour Trading partnership in 2007 and has been building websites and online brands ever since.
Robin built the Race-Calendar.com website as well as the interactive race map features which have since been adopted in the UK by NHS Choices and the County Sports Partnerships.
Robin is first and foremost a footballer, having played as a goalkeeper in the UK’s Northern League until taking up running after university. He has also played cricket for local teams and competed at county level in the javelin.
